The brass deities are prepared for their abishekam; a pouring of liquid ingredients over them in order to purify them and imbue them with the essence of the deity; in this case Rama, Sita, and Lakshaman. Apparently the temple has three sets of deities. The smaller set in the read also has, on the left a small Hanuman.
First water is used:

Then haldi turmeric)….

Then milk…

And at the end, they are dressed in the traditional manner and decorated with fresh jasmine malas.
