In sanskrit the word for season is masa….right now is called Agni (fire) masa, and for good reason. With the exception of of the 16th which was a cool 95F, every day has seen midday temps well over 105 and a couple of days we have reached 120 as seen in the photo above. It is not that bad, provided that you have lots of water to drink, a wet cloth for your neck, a fan, and an a/c room to sleep in.
The humidity isn’t so bad. I would guess in the 60% range, but then again all we wear are dhotis. This morning the sun is up looking very red, and this is going to be another hot day.
Morning pujas and yagya ae running from 8:30 to 1:00, then it is nap time (or internet time for me) until 4:00 when we have two hours of vedic recitation. By then a nice breeze has usually kicked up and it is actually rather pleasant.
