Pavamana Soma Yagya

The yagya comes from the Rig Veda, the longest and most ancient of the Vedas, thus making it one of the oldest forms of yagya. We have asssembled a uniquely qualified team of Rig Veda pundits from the Shankaracharya Mutt in Kanchipuram who will be performing this yagya for us.

During the yagya the pundits begin with two hours of Rig Veda recitations. Then they will perform our usual schedule of pujas and yagyas; Ganesha, Navagraha, Lakshmi/Durga/Parvati, Mrytunjaya and Rudra Abishekam. Following that, the traditional Rig Veda Pancha Sukta Pavamana ritual will be performed with the mantras and offerings specific to this sacred ritual.

Traditionally, this yagya series is performed in order to remove any bad karmas created during this lifetime, and to support the development of our nervous system so that it support enlightened consciousness and divine awareness.

Pavamanir dishanthu nah,
Imam lokamadho aamum,
Kaamaan samradhayanthu nah,
Devir devai samaabhruthaa.

Those who are purified by Pavamana Suktham,
Enjoy fully this world as well as the next,
Their wishes will be fulfilled,
And they will be united with gods and goddesses

Rahu/Ketu Yagya

The period when planets change signs is traditionally considered to be the best time to perform yagyas to balance and enhance their positive manifestations. They are more receptive to the influence of the yagyas, and the effects of the yagya performances are deeper and last longer.

Generally, Rahu/Ketu are considered to be second only to Saturn in their ability to cause difficulty because they are unpredictable and powerful in their effects, both positive and negative. The yagyas will balance and calm their influence with the intention of making life easier and more enjoyable.

At the end of the yagya series, our priests will perform an extensive special yagya at a local Rahu/Ketu temple. You can read the story of Rahu/Ketu and see images from past yagyas by clicking here.

Participants in our yagya programs report that they enjoy a sense of protection from the obstacles and usual ups and downs of daily life. Obstacles seem to be reduced and overall prosperity,
abundance and enjoyment of life is increased.

Please join us in this wonderful yagya program.
